Chapter 1
The Journey Begins
My small shop story begins when, I co-founded Darling Daughters & Co. with my bestie. We created some of the most timeless and beautiful hairbows and accessories for little girls all over North America. We would spend weeks ordering colour swatches, testing out new sewing patterns, and bribing our girls with fruit snacks so we could get the lighting just right for our website and Instagram feed. Those late nights and the juggling act of running a small shop – it’s all too familiar!
Fast forward to a pivotal moment after welcoming my youngest daughter. I decided to swap my teaching hat for a full-time commitment to my small business passion. The turning point from seamstress/patternmaker to website strategist? Someone from our handmade shop community was struggling with setting up their online store and they knew I managed our website. After a serious website makeover, I woke up to 22 new inquiries to help other small business owners looking to grow their brands online.
That's when it hit me—I had found my calling. For over a decade now, I've been weaving success stories for product and service-based small businesses.
Chapter 2
Learning + Growing
If you would have told six-year-old me that one day she would have a job that allowed her to educate and be creative, I'm not sure she would have believed you. While I have been an Elementary School Teacher and a full-time sewist, both experiences have shaped my approach to brand design and website development in unique ways.
Teaching taught me the importance of having the right guidance and tools to navigate new challenges and learn new skills. Just as teachers create frameworks for learning, Endswell Studio creates the framework for you and your business to flourish. Similarly, sewing taught me more than just how to stitch fabric together; it taught me resilience in the face of challenges, the beauty of transforming the smallest piece of fabric into something remarkable, and the wisdom to handle mishaps (like sewing through your finger!) with a few choice words and a trusty spare band-aid. I believe that even the smallest details can make a significant impact, and I'm here to ensure that your journey with Endswell Studio is both enlightening and empowering.
